Home Requirements
An experienced owner

Amelia is looking for an experienced cat owner who have had nervous cats before. She may like access to a garden once she is settled into her new surroundings. Amelia needs to be the only pet in an adult only home.
Amelia is a nervous wee girl who likes her own space. She is looking for a very patient owner who understand that she will take time to adjust in her new home and that will provide her with plenty of hiding spaces and places for when she feels overwhelmed. She would like someone to help her gain some much-needed confidence, she really likes her food so this could be a good encouragement for her. Amelia may want to go outside in the future but for now would be best kept indoors until she has fully settled.
We are sure that underneath her worries, there is a very sweet cat who will be a rewarding pet for a committed owner.

Children

Heidi is looking for an owner who can keep her company for some of the day and she would like easy access to the outdoors so she can venture. Heidi may be able to live with children and possibly another cat.
Heidi is a confident, happy go lucky girl with a huge zest for life. She is very friendly and loves human attention from anyone who will offer it. Heidi is inquisitive and keen to investigate her surroundings so would love easy access to a garden so she can explore. She loves playing with her toys that dangle or have feathers. Whilst we are unsure if Heidi has ever lived with a cat before, she does not seem to mind the other cats in our cattery so has the potential to live with another cat.
Heidi will make a wonderful addition to her new family.

Teenagers

Cotton is looking for an owner who have had a cat before and can keep him company for most of the day. He would like easy access outdoors via a window or door so he can go exploring when the mood takes him. Cotton would like to be the only pet but could live with cat savvy teenagers.
Cotton is a very sweet and affectionate boy who loves human attention. He hasn’t shown any interest in toys whilst at the Home as he just wants to be with you for lots of snuggles. He does, however, have a cheeky side at times so would only be suited to a home with teenagers. Cotton does enjoy curling up in his igloo bed and loves his food, he will definitely let you know when it’s mealtime! He will bring a lot of happiness to his new owner so, if your looking for a cuddle buddy, he could be the one for you!
Our vet has discovered that Cotton has a heart condition. More information will be discussed with successful applicants.

Suki at the Sunny Harbour Cat & Kitten Rescue - Reserved

Who could resist those big, beautiful eyes and cute purrsonality! Introducing our latest cuddle bug, Suki. She has an incredibly sweet personality – and requires an owner who can give her plenty of affection!

Suki was rescued from a Colony of cats that are fed well by the organisation they live with. However, Suki’s coat had become matted over the winter, so it was necessary to take her to the vet to get shaved.

Low and behold, she is the softest sweetest loving little thing. She lay down and let the vet shave her. So it’s clear that she has been a pet originally, and has possibly strayed into the colony.

She is tiny, and VERY affectionate. She loves nothing more than being cuddled.

It’s clear that she would do better with a home that can groom her (she loves being brushed) and has time to give her plenty attention.

As she is so friendly, she cannot be allowed to roam free, as she would likely go off with anyone passing by.

Ideally she would be an indoor cat, or have access to a catio, or garden with pet fencing. It would be sensible to bring her in during wet weather to avoid her coat becoming matted.

If you are interested in Suki please review our rehomimg FAQ page and submit your enquiry below – he is waiting to hear from you!

We’re delighted to introduce the very handsome Lenny.  He arrived at Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue as a long term stray but on arrival it was very clear he had been owned at some point in his life.   He is lively, enjoys a good play with the feather tickler and bunny kicking his catnip toys now that he’s learnt toys are safe and fun!

Lenny is looking for an adult only home with no plans for children or possibly an experienced cat household with older children who can understand that affection needs to be on Lenny’s terms until he’s learnt to trust you.  With living on the streets for so long not everyone has been kind to him so it can take him a little time to warm to strangers.

When Lenny first arrived his coat was badly matted and filthy, full of twigs and he just looked miserable. His coat condition is returning slowly and now he’s all neutered and vet checked he’s looking forward to finding someone to love him unconditionally and teach him what love is in a warm and safe home.

If you are interested in Lenny and can offer him what he needs, please apply below – he is waiting to hear from you!
