Shelter Location: 60 Blackford Avenue Edinburgh EH9 3ER

Oscar is a sweet little Jack Russell who will make a lovely addition to the family. He is very friendly and always happy when visitors come to the house. He will always greet them with a bounce and a waggy tail. He may bark when some one rings the bell but quickly settles down. Oscar is great when left and is not destructive. He can be left for short periods at a time. Oscar is fully housetrained and currently enjoys having direct access to his own secure garden. He may whinge and cry a little at the start of a car journey but does settle. When walking on a lead he can pull and sometimes, and unfortunately is not great off lead. His recall will need further training. Oscar may occasionally resource items such as toys, however this can be helped with further training.

Oscar is a hit or a miss with dogs. Sometimes he can be scared of some dogs and others he can be very friendly with. There is no consistency with who he likes or dislikes. Oscar would benefit from some training around other dogs which may help him become more manageable to be in the company of dogs. Oscar currently lives with a cat. He is fine in the house with them, however if he sees cats outside he will give chase. He can live with a cat that has lived with dogs and is savvy enough to be around them.

Oscar thrives on human company and enjoys nothing more than having a snuggle on the sofa. He is very affectionate and being made a fuss of. His favourite game is playing fetch and will happily do this all day. He is very active and likes going out for his daily walks. Oscar is looking for a home where he will have company for the majority of the day, ideally his new owner will have Terrier experience. He will need an active home where he will be taken for long walks.

If you are interested in Oscar please go to our website www.dogaidsociety.com and go onto Oscar's page and fill in the green register your interest form. Please note we only re-home within Scotland.
