Jess is a lovely young staffie looking for a new home. She is just over two years old, vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is currently with her owner but is proving to be just too lively with the families very small grandchildren. She is used to living with other dogs and children and would be great with older children. She could do with some additional training but is generally good on lead and off. Recall ok as long as you have treats. If you would like to offer Jess a home please complete an KWK9 application form.

Zac is a lovely 6 year old greyhound who has recently come into GAL's care. He was originally rescued as a stray by a pound so we don't know much about his history. Zac is currently in a foster home where is is flourishing.

Our boy needs a special home, who will understand his needs and continue his training. He can be unsure of dogs but his confidence is improving with time spent at his doggy day care.

Zac has some anxieties surrounding his bed and would appreciate a home who would understand his need for being left alone when he is sleeping.

Zac can be homed as an only dog with someone who is around a lot of the time, or could live with a calm greyhound. He would prefer no children or cats.

Kos was found recently as a stray, his owner did not claim him and he has now come to us to help him find his new home. Very little is known about Kos so he will be further assessed before he is placed in any home.

Turns out this fella had very very sore ears when he came into the kennels which made him appear a bit on the grumpy side. These ears have now been treated and his true loving gentle laid back character has come out. He is a really sweet boy with a fantastic you could you resist this one!

This poor wee chap finds himself back with us sadly through no fault at all of his own. After spending far too long in emergency kennels Rocky was fostered and then adopted but his owner's circumstances have changed. So now this poor lad is yet again in the kennels.
Little Rocky hasn't put a paw wrong and will make someone a delightful companion. He does need to be the only dog and as he is anxious around children, needs a home where children would be aged 16 and over.

Rocky is approximately 8 years old and all he wants is a loving home and a special person to curl up with. He is house trained, walks nicely on lead, has good recall, travels well, is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is fine to be left for a few hours - his needs are very few and this wee boy doesn't deserve to find himself back in kennels. It would be so unfair.

Are you that special person who could help Rocky?

Due to a change in circumstances, Sally's owner has sadly had to bring her in.

Once Sally knows you, she is a very affectionate girl. However she needs time to gain your trust, as she is an anxious girl who is wary of new people. Sally has lived with two cats that she has been okay with, however she can chase them occasionally. She really has no recall, when it comes to being off the lead so she needs an owner who understands that she will just bolt if given the chance. Sally can also jump high fences, so she must be supervised when out. She has anxiety when left on her own, therefore she needs an owner who is at home the majority if the day and can help overcome her separation issues. Sally is in need of a home without young children. This collie X loves to play ball and enjoys her squeaky toys.

Re-homing Criteria

Sally is not the easiest of dogs. She has had a number of homes in her past and this lack of a stability when she was young has left her with anxieties. This girl really needs a patient understanding owner who knows that it will take time, and consistency to help her nervous nature.

I’m so pleased to be able to get Yodi and Molly onto our website for adoption as these are 2 very special little cats who have been through so much. Sadly their owner died at home with them and they have gone through their grieving process with us here at Sunny Harbour.

Now that they finally trust us and are settled into life at Sunny Harbour they are now happy to talk to strangers and so available for adoption meetings.

Molly is the more forward of the duo and she is the dark torti girl in the photos. She is a very friendly girl and despite being a little overweight she can fair move when she wants to. She’s a very happy girl these days and enjoys nothing more than a really good pett and an ear rub and you can watch her gradually get more and more excited the more petting she gets. Molly is 8 years old and Yodi’s companion since they were kittens although the pair are not siblings.

Yodi is one of the smallest adult cats we have ever seen at 8 years old. He is absolutely tiny. But inside that small package is a very very loving little cat just waiting to come out. He adores ear rubs and tummy tickles and wants nothing more than a home to feel safe and loved. It’s taken a while for us to get Yodi to trust us but now that he does his gorgeous little nature just shines through. When he first arrived the look in his eyes would break your heart and so it is so nice to see him soften and enjoy your company.

One thing we will say is that Yodi definitely need blankets and a cosy bed as he loves to burrow away especially if he’s feeling a little afraid.

This duo are looking for a quiet home definitely with no young children. Preferably the only pets in the house. Indoor only as this is what they have been used to from kittens and they have never been outdoors.

If you think you could offer this duo a home and safety and unconditional love then do get in touch. For what you give this amazing pair of cats you will be repaid tenfold.

If you would like to apply to adopt then please send in an adoption application form and Sunny Harbour can arrange for you to meet them.
