More about Opal
Opal is looking for an owner who have had nervous dogs before. She would like access to a garden, so she has her own space to enjoy and to be kept company for most of the day. Opal is looking to be the only pet but may be able to live with high school aged, dog savvy children.
Opal is the sweetest of girls who is very attention orientated with those she knows best. She can be a bit unsure if someone approaches her too quickly or tries to handle her too much and will shy away so she needs a patient owner who understand dog body language. Things will need to be taken at a pace she is comfortable with but once she learns that there is nothing to be afraid of, she is the biggest snuggle bug and will happily sit beside you for cuddles all day.
She may be a little older, but it does not stop her from running around with her favourite squeaky toy. Opal did arrive as a bit of a chunky girl and is still working on trimming her waistline so she will need a sensible owner who will gradually build up her fitness by taking her on many different adventures.

More about Summer
Summer is looking for an active owner who can work on her basic training and she would like access to a garden, so she has another space to burn off some energy. Summer may be able to live with high school aged children and possibly another young dog.
Summer is a fun, excitable, young girl who is friendly with everyone she meets. She is very playful and loves to run around our paddocks with a toy but does get over excited at times so needs help to understand how to keep all four paws on the ground. She does have worries about travelling, so needs an understanding owner who have the patience and time to help her overcome her nerves.
Summer does enjoy the company of other dogs, but she can be a bit too bouncy for some. She may be able to live with a dog of similar size who matches her energy pending a successful introduction. After a day of fun, she does enjoy her chill out time in a nice cosy bed.
Summer had some veterinary treatment when she arrived with us. More information will be discussed with successful applicants.

More about Scotia
Scotia has been extremely popular and has now been matched to several possible homes so we are no longer accepting interest for him.
Scotia is looking for an owner who have had high energy dogs, ideally huskies, before. He will require access to his own private garden to work on basic training and to be kept company all day until he settles into a routine. He may be able to live with high school aged children but is looking to be the only pet.
Scotia is a happy boy who is always keen to say hello to who he meets. He is a typical husky who likes to sing the song of his people to let everyone know he is there so would be best suited to an owner who know and love the husky breed. He is full of energy and can become bored easily so he will need to be kept company for most of the day and would thrive with an active owner who are committed to taking him for long adventures. He is playful and loves to chase after his toys, particularly squeaky ones! Scotia will make a fantastic companion with the right family.

Bertie came to SSR from the pound, he was picked up as a stray.
Bertie is currently in foster in Inverness.
Bertie is a very friendly and happy boy, he always has a huge smile on his face and loves snuggling up to you. Bertie loves to play with toys with you.Â
Bertie is dog friendly and currently lives with 2 other dogs, who he gets on great with. Bertie really enjoys the company of other dogs and we would prefer to place him in a home with a resident dog.Â
We don't think Bertie has had more exposure to busy areas, so would suit a quieter area whilst exposing him to the world.Â
Bertie's foster home say he really is no bother at all, he is such a character and full of joy.
Bertie is in good health and is neutered, vaccinated and chipped.
Bertie enjoys his walks and especially loves going to the beach on his long line, Bertie does pull on the lead and his foster home are working on this. Bertie does have selective hearing on a walk and not much engagement, but this is being worked on.
Bertie travels well in the car.
Secure garden would be a plus
Resident dog would be a plus

The perfect pair.
These girls are a bundle of fun and cuddles. They love getting out for walks with everyone here at the centre. These girls have lived with young children. We are unsure how they will react to cats.
History
Lady Luna and Trixie came in to us due to a change in their owners circumstances.
Re-homing Criteria
Lady Luna and Trixie are a very sweet natured, playful pair. They are at their happiest out together on a walk or climbing on your knee for a cuddle.
They enjoy meeting new people but can be a little vocal when seeing dogs out and about at the centre. They would thrive in a home where they can get plenty of attention and go on lots of adventures. Due to not knowing how these girls are with cats, we would be looking to rehome to a cat free home.

Name:Â Teddy
Breed: Miniature Poodle
Sex: Male
Age: 9yrs
Key information: Sweet and nervous boy, needs to live with a confident well behaved dog. calm, adult only home, with a secure garden.
Teddy has spent his whole life as a breeding dog. For years, he missed out on the little joys most dogs take for granted â soft beds, gentle cuddles, walks in the fresh air, and people who love him just for being him.
Â
Because of this, Teddy is shy and a little unsure of the world. But with patience and kindness, he is slowly discovering how wonderful life can be.
Â
Â
Teddy is looking for owners who have had nervous dogs before, someone patient, kind and who is happy to help him build his confidence at his own pace. Teddy lights up when he seeâs other dogs and would benefit from living with a confident role model who can help him understand that people are good and can be trusted.
Teddy is not ready to go for walks yet, he is very worried by the outside world and needs time to feel brave. He does however love the garden and enjoys investigating. Teddy is not house-trained and will need help with this.
Teddy wants to be friends with you, he looks forward to seeing you and really does try his best to let himself be a normal dog but he is just not able to take that leap yet, however we are confident with time, love and patience he will become your best friend.

Alfie is a bright, energetic boy whoâs full of fun and always ready for his next adventure. Heâs looking for an active home where he can be kept busy with plenty of playtime, walks, and things to do.

Alfie could live happily with dog-savvy teenagers and up, whoâll enjoy his playful, bouncy nature.
Heâs house-trained, travels nicely in the car, and loves nothing more than stretching his legs in a secure garden where he can zoom around and play with his toys. A little guy with a big heart!
This is the very handsome Bobby!
Bobby LOVES cuddles and getting out for walks. He adores meeting new people and seems pretty relaxed around the other dogs here at the centre.
Although he has no experience with children, he has a very sweet nature so older children should be fine. We are unsure how he would react to cats.
This clever lad has been housetrained and is great with handling.
History
Little Bobby is looking for a new home due to his previous owner sadly passing away.
Re-homing Criteria
Bobby is a sweet natured boy with a big heart and a love for people. He's at his happiest when he's by your side- whether that is snuggled up for cuddles or heading out on one of his beloved walks!
Bobby enjoys meeting new people and is generally relaxed when encountering other dogs when out and about . He would thrive in an active home where he can enjoy regular adventures and plenty of companionship. He could live with another dog, providing they can match his energy.
We would be looking for a home with older children for this little lad. His experience of cats is unknown so we would be looking for a cat free enviroment.
What we do know is that he is affectionate and eager to share his days with someone who will love his friendly, cuddly nature.
If you are looking for a cheery companion who will bring joy to your walks and warmth to your sofa, Bobby could be the perfect match!
