Approx Age: 4 years
Eddie is a very playful boy who is used to living with children from the age of 4 and upwards. He has experience living with other dogs but is protective over his food so would probably do well living as an only dog. Eddie has no experience with cats. He walks well on the lead but has no traffic sense and is distracted easily so his recall will need some work. Eddie becomes very anxious when left alone and has been known to be destructive so will need a home with someone there most of the time. He is not 100% house trained so this will need to be worked on in his new home. We have been told that he is an escape artist and can squeeze under baby gates and climb fences. He usually travels in the car behind a dog guard, but he seems very anxious while traveling. Eddie needs regular grooming due to his long coat and we have been told he is ok with his regular groomer.
Eddie was brought into the centre for rehoming because he was causing damage when left alone due to his separation issues.
Eddie needs a home with constant companionship due to his separation anxiety. He is known to be destructive when left alone so we will not rehome Eddie where he will be left for extended periods of time. He will need time and patience to help build his confidence.
If you'd like to help rehome Eddie simply complete the Homefinder Questionnaire to get started.
