A Female Border Collie who is age 6 years
Dovecotewell, by Glencaple
Dumfries and Galloway
Approx Age: 6 years
Moss is a sweet girl who is very shy at first, she doesn’t like loud bangs and if she is unsure of anything she prefers to stay her ‘safe spot’ which in her last home was her kennel.
She has spent most of her life as a kennel dog but spent a few nights in a house before coming to the centre. She slept in the kitchen and was clean overnight. Moss is used to lots of different animals and she doesn’t show any interest in them, she has met sheep, cows, cats, dogs and Alpacas. Moss seems to enjoy her own space away from the other animals-if they were too much, she would just take herself off to her kennel. Moss seems to prefer female humans, she is can be very nervous around new men. She doesn’t have any re-call at the moment, she had free run on the farm but kept running away back to her kennel. Moss has been on a lead and although she doesn’t pull that much, she will need some encouragement in this area.
Moss has lived in her last home for 6 months, she was bought as a working farm dog but she doesn’t have any interest in working.
Moss needs a calm home. She will need time to adapt into a house dog. She can be upset by loud or sudden noises so she may find a town environment too much. Her last home had 4 older children who she was good with but she hasn’t met younger children and loud noises scare her
