A Female Border Collie who is age 7 years
Dovecotewell, by Glencaple
Dumfries and Galloway
Approx Age: 7 years
Meg came in with another dog, who she gets on well with but tends to bully and herd the other dog. She hasn’t met cats but she is fine with livestock. Meg still has a strong hearding instinct and although she has been around children, her previous owners didn’t trust her with small children. Mes has good re-call and she isn’t too bad on the lead and she is good with new people-a little shy at first. She travels well in a crate in the car.
Meg was bought as a partly trained worker when she was 2years old. She is no longer required to work on the farm, her owners can’t keep her anymore.
Meg has always lived in a kennel, she will need house training. Her herding instinct is very strong, she will need an experienced collie owner who can keep her safe around traffic, other animals and young children. Meg has been known to guard her food with other dogs so she may be best as an only pet or in a situation where this can be managed.
