A Male Tri Colour Jack Russell Terrier who is age 13 years
Dovecotewell, by Glencaple
Dumfries and Galloway
Approx Age: 13 years
Jack is a golden oldie who loves everyone! The only thing he does not take a shine to is cats and small fluffies such as rabbits. Being a typical terrier, he does like the sound of his own voice and can be vocal when left as he finds it overwhelming. Jack loves company and would much rather be by your side. He is good on lead and loves pottering about the garden. Jack is friendly towards dogs and we are told he has been friendly towards children he has met out on walks. Jack loves his crate and happily goes in to sleep. He travels well in the car and enjoy going out in it. Jack loves nothing more than to sit on your knee for a cuddle. He is worried by fireworks and other loud noises. Jack will toilet if left on his own and as he is old, he will need more opportunities to go out for toilet breaks.
Jack was brought in for rehoming after being adopted in 2016, as he was not coping with being left on his own. Whilst his owner was away on holiday, he was in boarding kennels, but he was being too vocal. Since being at the centre, we have found him to be a little vocal during the day but on site staff report he is quiet through the night.
Jack will need an owner who won't leave him and doesn't plan on putting him into boarding kennels if they are going away. He loves company and as he isn't getting any younger, he is looking for an owner who has lots of time to devote to this sensitive old boy. We currently have him on Vivatonin, which acts to increase blood flow to the heart, brain and muscle. We have noticed a difference in Jack since being on this.
