PADS - Perthshire Abandoned Dogs Society
A Male Tan Mixed Breed who is age 3
Zuma has been at our kennels since Summer of 2019 and loves it here but he needs to find a home!
Sadly, Zuma finds meeting new people terrifying. Because of this, we need to find him a home in a rural location, somewhere where there's not lots of people to bump into on walks and a more solitary lifestyle in a home without lots of new people visiting. He definitely prefers women to men but will come around. Because of his size people are very insistent on trying to pet him and he finds this frightening and will nip if he feels cornered, so his new owner(s) would need to be prepared to stop people from trying to approach him.
He mixes with many other dogs here at the kennels of all different sizes. However, he's very protective of the person's lap upon which he is sitting and becomes quite possessive of things he deems his - bed or toys and therefore, would likely be happier in a home on his own. On a lead his behaviour is not so happy around dogs but this is more often the human attached to the dog that he's more frightened of! Children are too loud and unpredictable for Zuma.
He's not keen on travelling in the car but is happy to be left at home for a couple of hours at a time.
Due to Covid-19 we are not permitting visitors to the kennels without an appointment, anyone interested in adopting Zuma must contact staff by email and will be asked to complete and return our adoption application form, this can also be found to download from our website.
