Dogs Trust - Glasgow
A Male Greyhound who is age 2 to 5 Years
315 Hamilton Road
MD came to us after retiring from a life of racing. He is ready to take the slow lane and enjoy a more relaxed pace. He is currently staying in one of our foster homes but can't wait to land on his paws in his forever home. We are looking for someone who has experience of owning dogs before. It would be best for him to live in an adult only home (18 years plus) with no visiting children.
Type of home needed
MD is looking for a family that can help him settle into family life. He has only ever lived in kennels previously so will need some help with training in a couple of different areas. He will need time to adjust to his new environment so will need a calm and patient family to work with him. Having someone around for most of the day is important to help him settle and focus on any training required. He would do well with an outdoor area where he can slowly be introduced into the home but this is not essential. He must be the only pet in the home and this will allow him to soak up all the attention and leave his owner plenty of time to concentrate on his training needs.
More about me
MD will need to be kept on lead and muzzled in all public areas due to his prey drive so having direct access to his own secure garden with a 6ft fence is a must for him. He will make an excellent addition to the right home.We have also recently discovered that MD has gone blind in one eye & is loosing his sight in his other eye so he will need a committed family that can work with him to help him adjust to his new home & family.
