Shadow is a 3-year-old Collie-Lab Crossbreed. To apply to rehome me please click on the \Rehoming Starts Here\ button. Applications will close once i have found my suitable match. Shadow is a very loving bouncy boy who adores his owners. He loves his squeaky toys and his dinosaur blanket. Shadow enjoys his walks, and could zig -zag from scent to scent forever if you let him! He thrives on going on new adventures and travels well in the car. Shadow has lots of energy, and has more than kept up on 8km runs and cycles! He is very intelligent and learns quickly, especially if there are some treats involved. Shadow has had an unsettled past and needs owners who will devote their time to him.

Type of home needed

Shadow will need a secure garden to run around in and have fun. Shadow adores the people he lives with, and is very worried he will be abandoned. His new owners would need to be at home most of the time to help build his confidence initially, and then leaving hours will need to be built very slowly and gradually. He would benefit from a non-open plan home so he can learn to love his own space. Shadow needs a home with patient and committed owners who are willing to work on his manners. He will need to live in an adult only home with no visiting young children.

More about me

Shadow is house-trained but needs help to politely greet new people and deal with his excitement at getting attention as he does not always know what to do with himself. He had previously gotten into the habit of mouthing and jumping to get or keep attention, but is quickly learning that he does not need to force interaction. Shadow is a bit of a clumsy overexcited cuddler, but has thrived with his carers now that he has learned some manners. proving he has all the love to give and can be a well-behaved boy when he feels more secure. Shadow will need to meet his new owners several times to build a calm relationship before going home.
