Fairly Beloved Rabbit Care
A Male Continental Giant who is age estimate 1 year 7 months
Enterprise House, Southbank Business Park
Time In Rescue: 11 months
Entry Reason: OWNER CIRCUMSTANCES: MARRIAGE/RELATIONSHIP BREAKDOWN
I have been with Fairly Beloved Rabbit Care for almost a year now. Arrived with the hope of being part of the resident group here – doing my bit for rabbit welfare by joining the rabbit team to demonstrate rabbit care needs at educational talks and awareness events.
I am full of fun, and love human attention. I always want to be right in the middle of all the action. My CV was glowing, and I should have been a perfect fit to the team.
But, things haven’t quite gone to plan. Unfortunately, I have suffered a few set-backs. Shortly after my prep & training (neutering and bonding process) I developed a serious skin condition which caused significant sores across my back, caused by nervous itching and gnawing on my part! It may have been an allergic reaction to a vaccine, given the timing. This took several months to diagnose and resulted in surgical repair. I am glad to report that it appears to be completely resolved now, and I no longer experience any issues with my fur or skin. However, after several attempts to fit into the larger resident group here, I find that I am just not a good fit for the other personalities and we often end up having a bit of a falling out. I find large groups a little nerve wracking, and the other bunnies here are just so much more confident meaning I am always pushed out of the group.
So the kind humans at FBRC have agreed its time for me to find my own buddy. Someone just for me. I am not fussy – any size, any age, any colour. Just somebunny that I can snuggle up to and feel part of a team again.
I am a gentle giant and will climb all over you and sniff your ear! I love my food and get so excited when I am being fed that sometimes I just stick my head in the tub of food before any gets into my bowl! My humans at the Warren often laugh at my funny antics.
