Hiya...I’m Aspen. Even though I’m not even 3 years old, my foster parents say I have the manners of a gentleman. As a result, I was given free roam of their whole living room...not just my pen...within 2 hours of arriving. Don’t get me wrong. I’m really curious and I love to explore. They say I’m a very inquisitive and friendly chap. I don’t know what that means, but every time they climb over the baby gate and leave the room, I hop up onto the back of the sofa. That’s where I can best keep an eye on them and make sure they don’t get into mischief. As soon as they come back into the room, I hop over and they immediately sit on the floor and give me nose rubs, which I love. Their training is going well, so I reward them by following them around and insisting on more nose rubs. I should mention that I absolutely love being close to people. I’m not really into sitting on laps, though...but have I mentioned I love nose rubs!? And having my ears stroked. I do let my foster parents pick me up and handle me and I don’t make a fuss, but it does make me tremble a bit, so we’re working on this. I think I’ve impressed them with how well litter trained I am and my foster mum said she was surprised that I’m even tidy with my hay. Speaking of which, I love to eat: hay, leafy greens, herbs and cardboard. Okay, so I know cardboard isn’t really food, but I do love to destroy cardboard...it’s such good fun! As much as I’m enjoying it here, I can’t wait to find my forever home.
