Flash is said to be good with children so could live with dog-savvy 10yr old+ children.
Flash will need a fully secure garden where he can have a good run around off lead. He needs a little help with his training but he is still young and seems eager to learn so he will make a great companion for someone who has the time and patience to work with him.

Breed: Collie
Sex: Female
Age: 2 years
Key information: No cats. Selective with dogs. Needs some training.
We would like to introduce you to a special lady we currently have in our care. 2yr old Bonny is sadly here for her 2nd stay with us and is requiring a lot of dedicated training before she will be ready to find a new home.
Bonny finds the outside world very exciting and overwhelming, and as such, at the moment, even struggles with going for a walk! After a meeting with a Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist, we suspect that Bonny has been suffering from Persistent Pseudopregnancy, we have given Bonny treatment for that and are now looking at any potential pain that may be exacerbating her behavioural traits.
At the time of writing, Bonny has been with us for 90 days and is enjoying her time at the centre and her training has come along so far from when she first arrived, but she is still a long way from being ready to find a new home.

Bryn is a lovely boy who is looking for a nice retirement home with no children where he can have some peace and quiet.
As he is a lurcher with a prey drive he can’t be around cats or small furries.
Poor Bryn has a bit arthritis and so doesn’t like going for long walks and he’s also got a little heart trouble which he needs medication for, but it certainly doesn’t stop him showing his affection! Oh, and he still loves his zoomies so does need a secure garden!

Archie at the Borders Pet Rescue

Archie at the Borders Pet Rescue

Contact Shelter Adoption Form More Shelter Pets

Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Whippet
Sex: Female
Age: 4 years
Key information: Needs some training. Needs a secure garden. Needs a cat-free home.
Archie is around 4.5 years old and can be a bit bouncy when meeting people initially. She needs to be walked on lead unless in a secure environment due to her high prey drive. She is not good with cats or any wild animals but gets on well with most dogs, although can get over excited at times wanting to play. She is good with older children but can be boisterous and clumsy. She does not travel well in the back of a car and can get stressed and noisy. She also suffers from separation anxiety and even though she can be left alone in a house for short periods she won’t settle if you’re out too long, this should improve with ongoing training. Archie has a great character and would benefit from someone with lots of spare time to carry on her training as she is a very clever dog.
Please note Archie is not currently in our care, if you would like to offer Archie a new home, please send your contact details to info@bordrespetrescue.org and we will pass these on to her owners
