Approx Age: 9 years
Alfie is a nervous wee boy but very sweet when he gets to know you.
At the centre Alfie has not chewed or destroyed anything- he barks if he hears noises, but he does settle. We have separated the 3 dogs and feel they will be better going to a new home each. Alfie can be wary of strangers and seems to prefer females. He does bark at anything new including dogs but is friendly to them. Alfie can be sick when traveling in a car but he wasn't sick in our van. He hasn’t met cats but he has seen livestock and wasn’t bothered by them, he is good on the lead.
Alfie came into the centre with 2 other dogs, they were chewing things and barking when left. The owners felt they needed a home where they won’t be left on their own too much.
Alfie needs a home where he won’t be left for too long. He has lived with 3 children who he was good with but he has bitten before, so care needs to be taking. He isn’t keen on situations that aren’t predictable. He would be fine as an only dog but he is ok with dog company. He is house trained but was having the odd accident in the house so he will need a refresher course.
