Dogs Trust - Glasgow
A Male Greyhound who is age 2 to 5 Years
315 Hamilton Road
Soloman is a stunning ex-racing greyhound who is looking for an understanding owner who can help him adjust to home life as he has likely spent most of his time outdoors or in kennels. Having previous experience of owning a dog is required as he will benefit from further training. Having someone at home during the day is important to help him settle, support him with training and gradually build up the time he is left alone.
Type of home needed
It would be best for Soloman to live with children over the age of 14 years, including visiting kids. A quieter home environment is best for him as he can be a little worried in new situations but does warm up quickly. He is a super sweet dog and when he gets to know you he is very affectionate and loves a fuss. He could live with a calm and quiet dog as he finds energetic ones a bit overwhelming. Due to his racing background he cannot live with cats. He would benefit from having direct access to his own garden which should be secured with a 5ft fence.
More about me
Soloman will most likely enjoy being a couch potato but may take some time getting used to living in a home as it is a very exciting chapter in his life. He will need to be onlead and wearing a muzzle when in public but is used to this being his normal routine. He will make a great companion and with time will become part of the family. Applications will close for Soloman once we have found a suitable match.
