Dogs Trust - Glasgow
A Male Foxhound who is age 8 and over
315 Hamilton Road
Earl is an older boy who is young at heart and in need of an active owner who is enthusiastic about training and committed to working with our training and behaviour team. He displays behaviours very typical of his breed so would benefit from living with an owner who has previous experience with hounds or Beagles. He will need his owner around for most of the day to work on his training and build up the time that he can be left alone.
Type of home needed
Earl is looking to be the only pet in the household as he loves to be the centre of attention. He is reactive towards other dogs on walks so will need to be kept on lead in public places. Due to this he needs to have direct access to his own garden which should be secured with a 5ft fence. Children must be over 16 years old to visit or live with Earl. This boy is motivated by food and attention but can get over the top so will need to keep working on this when he goes home.
More about me
Earl would be best suited to a quieter home environment with owners who can give him some space and time to settle. positive reward based training is essential to continuing his training at home. He will make a wonderful companion in the right home. To apply to adopt Earl please click on the 'come and meet me' button below. We will close applications when we find a suitable match. We can only contact the successful applicant.
