Flora is a small 3 year old female and would make a truly wonderful companion.

She is fantastic with people and is very gentle around supervised children. Flora loves playing with the other resident dogs. She sometimes barks, but usually when the resident dog barks and so she copies this. Flora makes noises when spoken to, it’s almost like she’s talking back which is just the sweetest.

Flora just wants to please everyone so can sometimes be pushy for attention. She barks at visitors until she gets their attention. Flora is not phased by loud noises or by a collar or harness. She walks well on lead and although can get a bit excited, will do good with some training and prefers to walk near her fosterer so is always in view off lead. Flora likes to be brushed and sheds a normal amount.

As with many of our dogs, she doesn’t like to share her food and tries to eat the resident dogs’ food, so it’s best if she is fed separately.

Flora is cat friendly and is living with 4 cats - she does try to chase one of the cats but otherwise is generally not bothered by them. As well as cats, Flora is also living in a house with tortoises and likes to lie in with the tortoises under their heat lamp with no issues. Flora will be able to live with other animals and busy households as she takes it all in her stride. She would also do wonderful as an only dog and be her human’s best friend and companion.

She just wants to be centre of attention in the cuddliest and most loving way.
Currently in foster in Hawick, Scotland.
