Loyal Little Lad Looking for Love and Company!
Hamish is a sweet boy with a big personality and a lot of love to share. He has previously lived with children aged 8 and over and has been okay with cats, making him a great potential addition to a family home. He’s used to having a canine companion and generally gets along better with female dogs. However, he can be reactive towards other dogs when out on the lead.
Hamish is not a fan of being left alone and can be quite noisy when left without company. He thrives in a home where he has someone around for most of the day and/or a calm dog companion to help him feel secure. He enjoys his walks, but his recall is unreliable, so he’ll need to stay on the lead unless in a safely enclosed area.
History
Hamish struggles with being left alone which led his owner to make the difficult decision to find him a new home.
Re-homing Criteria
Hamish needs a home where someone is around most of the time as he becomes distressed when left alone. He would benefit greatly from having a friendly resident dog for companionship. He could live with respectful children and may be suitable for a home with a dog-savvy cat. A secure garden is essential, as his recall is very poor and he will need a safe space to explore and enjoy outdoor time.
This lovely wee man is full of heart and just needs the right home to help him feel safe and loved.
