More about Bella
Bella is looking for an experienced who has a home with a private garden. She gets very upset when left alone, so will need to have company all day while she works on this issue, and would make the ideal companion for someone who works from home. Bella may be able to live with older dog savvy teenagers but is looking to be the only pet.
Bella is a real sweetheart who can be a bit wary of new people to start with but does come around, especially if you have a tasty treat on offer. She is very loving and affectionate, and will happily sit beside you for fussing and attention, but she does think she is a lap dog so would prefer to sit on you to receive her fussing! She has made doggy friends here and would enjoy having some dog walking buddies, but would be best suited to being the only pet in her home. She is full of energy and would like having an activity to do to keep her busy brain occupied, and has enjoyed doing some scent work while with us.
Bella loves human company so much that she really does struggle being left alone so will need help to understand that being left isn’t so scary. She requires a committed and understanding owner who will work on this issue and be open to working with a recommended dog trainer to support with her improvement.
Bella is currently taking part in extra training with the Paws for Progress team in their rescue dog training programme at HMYOI Polmont. She is working hard on confidence building skills and slowly learning that people leaving is okay. HMP & YOI Polmont | Paws for Progress
