More about Benny
Benny is looking for an experienced owner who have had larger bull breed dogs in the past, so can fully understand the bully personality. He would like access to a garden so he can work on his basic training and to be kept company for most of the day whilst he settles in. Benny will need to be the only pet but may be able to live with dog savvy older teenagers who won’t be worried by his boisterous nature.
Benny can be a bit unsure of new people to start with but is the sweetest, happiest of boys who is very loving and likes to cuddle up for a snooze beside you. He is a bundle of fun who is playful and loves his squeaky toys or a game of tug, although his exuberance means he becomes a bit of a bull in a China shop at times! He will require an experienced owner who understand bully breeds and how boisterous they can be though he is very eager to please.
Benny hasn’t had the easiest time and can become overstimulated in some situations so needs an understanding owner who have the patience and time to help him adjust to his new surroundings. He does thoroughly enjoy his enrichment sessions though which will help during the moments he feels overwhelmed. He enjoys his walks to the beach and is happy to walk alongside other dogs although he much prefers doing his own thing.
Benny does have arthritis in his elbow which is being managed by pain medication, and he will have to remain on this for the rest of his life. More information will be discussed with successful applicants.
