Lily at Staffordshire Rescue Scotland

A Female White and brindle Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is age 6

Good With Children Not Good With Other Pets

Contact Shelter Adoption Form

Shelter Location: South Lanarkshire

We were initially told that Lily was not good with other dogs but while in foster we've found that it's mostly the intial greeting that causes her the most stress. It seems like she's just never been properly introduced to other dogs so we are working on her social skills. Once she gets walking she has been quite happy pottering along with a doggy friend. Lily's new owners will need to continue to work on this

Lily isn't used to a working home so she is going to prefer someone who is around more often than not and she would also prefer a quieter and calmer household. She is currently living with children and seems to enjoy their company but would need to be placed with dog savvy children over 5 years old as little ones might prove a little too exciting.

Lily's ideal home

- Children over 5 years old
- Preferably only dog although potentially live with a calm male dog following slow and repeated introductions
- No cats and will need to be carefully managed around live stock

Zeus at Staffordshire Rescue Scotland

A Male Brindle Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is age 6

Not Good With Children Not Good With Other Pets Not Good With Dogs

Contact Shelter Adoption Form

Shelter Location: South Lanarkshire

Zeus is very much his own man and expects that the world should revolve around him. He can be very stubborn and will often look for attention on his own terms. With gentle encouragement and the right handling though he has proven to be very affectionate and can actually be a real clown when he isn't being a moany old man. We genuinely feel he will make someone a wonderful companion as long as they are willing to accept some of his quirks

To help manage Zeus stress levels we are looking for a calm and quiet home but a sense of humour will absolutely by required. We will offer full behaviour support from a professsional behaviourist to help Zeus make the transition.

Zeus ideal home

- Zeus is used to a working home and is quite happy being left
- Children over 12 and must be dog savy
- Zeus gets on fine with other dogs and cats but we would prefer him to be an only pet to minimise the stress of introductions

Tye at Staffordshire Rescue Scotland

A Male Brindle Staffordshire Bull Terrier (SBT) who is age 5

Not Good With Children Good With Dogs

Contact Shelter Adoption Form

Shelter Location: South Lanarkshire

Tye is 5 years old and is being rehomed as he was finding it stressful living with a new baby. Tye will also not be placed with children under the age of 8 or in a house where younger children visit regularly.

He is a proper male staffy - excitable, chatty and very affectionate. We do think a quieter house might be better for Tye - he gets quite excited about visitors which can be improved with the right training but he might also like a little peace and quiet.

Tye hasn't lived with cats and seems a little unsure around strange dogs so we think he might be better as an only dog although he might get on with a calm female, dependent on multiple introductions. He is also being used to be left for a few hours without any issues.

He has had problems with an ear problem which has been treated by the rescue but might take more time to heal. We will monitor this closely and while we don't expect any long term issues we will discuss this with any prospective owners. He has also been neutered and wormed by the rescue.

Tye will make a wonderful addition to the right family - he is a traditional staffy who adores cuddles and is very human orientated.

Boss at Staffordshire Rescue Scotland

A Male White Dog who is age 5

Contact Shelter Adoption Form

Shelter Location: South Lanarkshire

Boss is currently being assessed in foster and is being rehomed through no fault of this owner. He's a lovely chunky boy who will need help getting some of his weight off.

As he is such a big lad, and be a bit boisterous he will need to placed with children over 8 years old, although he is used to being around slightly younger children. He also isn't fully assessed with dogs or cats so at this time will need a forever home without either. We will update Boss's profile in the coming weeks as we learn more about him.
