Feral Cats at the Borders Pet Rescue

Feral Cats at the Borders Pet Rescue

Contact Shelter Adoption Form More Shelter Pets

We have been asked to help to relocate some feral cats. We are looking for homes on farms or stables.

The cats will need somewhere secure they can be kept for at least 2 weeks so they get to know their new home and they will also need to be fed as they are used to being fed where they currently are.

There has been cat flu in the feral colony and so they cannot be rehomed along other cats since they may not have symptoms but could still be carriers and spread it to other cats.

We are looking to rehome them in pairs or more from within the colony. They will be wormed, deflead and neutered where needed before going off to their new home.

If you can provide the above situation for feral cats, please click HERE to apply. (Please note we reply to all applications so if you do not have a reply within 24hours, please check your spam folder)

Milo at the Borders Pet Rescue

Milo at the Borders Pet Rescue

Milo will need several visits before he can be rehomed so we can only accept applications from people who are willing/able to travel to the rescue centre a few times

Milo is a very intelligent +1yr Shepherd crossbreed. He is looking for a home with an experienced dog owner where he will be the only pet and with no young children. Milo needs a home that will give him the exercise he needs and also the mental stimulation and training that he needs. If he doesn’t get enough mental stimulation, then attention-seeking behaviours come out. He is easily bored so it is important in his new home he is kept mentally stimulated – he does enjoy chasing a ball, but that is not enough to keep him occupied!

Milo is such a clever dog who would love to have a “job” to do, for example; Mantrailing, scent work, or cani-cross to help keep him mentally stimulated – he has the energy, both physical and mental of a working dog.

Milo does need some work around other dogs as he can react to some but has been introduced to some dogs at the centre and he will walk out with the other centre dogs.

In his new home he must have his own secure garden with at least 5ft fencing so he can burn off some energy running about.

Poor Milo has spent a long time in kennels so will need an owner with the time and patience to help him settle into life in a home. He will find the first while in a home a bit difficult and quite  exciting so an understanding owner is essential but given the chance he will make a great companion.

If you can offer Milo the home he needs, please click HERE to fill in an application form in the first instance. (Please note we reply to all applications so if you do not have a reply within 24hours, please check your spam folder)

**Please note that Nell has just arrived and still needs to be seen by our vets before she will be ready for a new home. You can apply for her in the meantime but no appointments will be made until she is ready for a new home**

Nell is a super sweet and friendly 4-year-old Border Collie that has now retired from working so is looking for a nice quiet home where she can enjoy his retirement. With Nell being a working dog she has only spent time in a kennel and has not been in a home so will need toilet training and an owner that will allow her to adjust to the home life.

Nell could be adopted with Llyod who came in from the same place however we are happy to rehome them separately, Nell got on fine with the other farm dogs so he could be rehomed with another dog. She would need a cat-free home and could live with children over 10.

Nell has never been off the farm so we are looking for a quiet area to rehome her to, we will not place her in a busy town centre.

If you can offer Nell the home she needs, please click HERE to fill in an application form. (Please note we reply to all applications so if you do not have a reply within 24hours, please check your spam folder)
