Shadow Shadow Shadow

Shadow at Borders Pet Rescue

A Male Crossbreed German Shepherd

Not Good With Other Pets

Contact Shelter Adoption Form

Shelter Location: Craigsford Earlston Scottish Borders TD4 6DJ

Please note: initial viewings are by appointment only. Thanks.

Shadow is around 4 years old and is a German Shepherd Cross.

Shadow came in to us from another rescue where they had been unable to find him his forever home through no fault of his own. Shadow currently weighs about 45kg and even though he is on a bit of a diet he is still a very big and powerful dog so anyone interested must seriously consider if they are physically able to manage him. Furthermore, being such a big dog, he will need a home where he has enough space inside and also a garden big enough to play in.

Shadow would be best suited to a quiet home without young children or cats, but he could potentially live with another dog

Max Max Max

A Male Border Collie who is age 12 to 18 months

Not Good With Other Pets

Contact Shelter Adoption Form

Shelter Location: Craigsford Earlston Scottish Borders TD4 6DJ

Please note: initial viewings are by appointment only. Thanks

Max is a handsome 17month old collie who came in to us as a failed sheepdog. Being a farm dog, he has not had much experience of life off the farm so is quite a nervous boy. He is friendly and will come around but anyone interested must have the time and patience to help him build in confidence in new situations. Max is finding it very difficult to settle into life in a town with lots of new people and vehicles and so is really needing a country home away from these. Although he came in from a farm as a failed sheepdog and so would not be suitable as a working farm dog, he would probably be best suited to life on a farm.

Max will be looking for an active home without young children. He has shared a kennel with dogs before so could potentially live with another dog.

Pip is around 9½ years old and has come in as unfortunately his owner passed away. He is looking for home without other pets or any children, Pip does have some digestive problems and needs an enema every now and then to help everything pass through correctly, this has not been an issue while he has been with us, but is something that any new owner would need to consider.

Ruby (9yr calico – female tortie/white) & Archie (7yr tabby male) are looking for a new home as their owners moved home to a place where the cats couldn’t get outside anymore. As such they must have outdoor access in their new home.

We will initially be looking to rehome Ruby & Archie together but we would consider separating them if the right home cam along for either of them.

Hugo is a very handsome 11yr old boy who is needing a new home as his previous owner was ill and was unable to look after him. He came in to the centre along with Michael, but they don’t really get along and so do not have to be rehomed together.

Hugo isn’t keen on being brushed and does get matts occasionally so would be best suited to an experienced owner who could safely cut matts out if he gets any and perhaps get him used to being brushed.

Michael was originally a stray so we don’t really have much history on him.

While he was a stray he was suffering from some infections in his mouth and so has now had most of his teeth removed but he is recovering well and this should not be an ongoing issue for him.
